If you're looking for a quick and easy way to take video you already own and convert it for use on your new Zune, M²Convert may be the trick. A video conversion utility for Windows which claims to "take the guesswork out of" creating video for your Zune. "M²Convert products offer a comprehensive solution to the challenge of moving content between devices," said Dima Daher, President of M² Solutions, Inc. "The M²Convert for Zune is versatile and intuitive. It takes much of the guesswork out of preparing your DVDs for Zune, and it gives you a lot of options. You can covert your entire DVD, select specific titles or chapters within it, or if you prefer, capture just the audio."
Available from M2Solutions, for around thirty bucks, M²Convert could be exactly the last minute stocking stuffer you're looking for.

1. And next year's stocking stuffer can be the MPAA's settlement offer!
It should be noted that unless "M2Solutions, Inc." provides some kind of evidence that they are a licensee of the DVDCCA then this software violates the DMCA by virtue of defeating the CSS system used to encrypt DVD content.
I can't find any claim on the "M2" website that makes any assurance of legality or indemnification for using their software for that advertised purpose.
What happens when the MPAA gets mad and subpoenas their customer records, using the same kind dual-suit tactic that the RIAA uses to nail John Doe "downloaders"?
Wasn't DVD X COPY destroyed for the same thing? viz.
