Selling like hotcakes; the new Shuffle makes waves

When you're hot, you're hot. Apple's new ultra tiny matchbook sized second generation iPod Shuffle is selling swiftly according to some sources. Apple's head of worldwide marketing, Phil Schiller, told Reuters, "The early response and reviews have been phenomenal."

We kinda guessed as much. It's a pretty droolable device, tiny, sexy and almost as portable as your own skin. Heck, The Unofficial Apple Weblog points to a guy who bought 200 of them in one shot and, Steve Jobs is even giving them away to every Apple employee. People who have picked one up are already trying to protect their Shuffle from attack. And this guy made his own "Shufflephones", which is a brilliant idea. Is Shuffle 2.0 destined to be the new Tickle Me Elmo for Christmas this year?
