Cartoon helps explain Creative Commons licensing

One of the biggest problems with the Creative Commons license lies in its flexibility. People are often confused as to which license to use and what each license component means.

To that end, the Creative Commons has produced a really cute cartoon to give you all the 411. It's cheerful, friendly, and understandable. Who doesn't like non-descript round-headed cartoon figures explaining advanced concepts of copyright?

The Creative Commons allows a content creator to specifiy ways in which the work they are releasing can be used without permission, without granting blanket rights for anyone to use it for anything and, without entering the work into the public domain. The not-for-profit foundation that maintains the license also happens to be in the middle of its annual fundraising campaign.
