Yoko Ono says she was cheated out of royalties

And Cheap Trick replied, Get in line". Yoko, widow and heir of slain Beatle John Lennon filed suit against EMI and Capitol Records accusing the companies of "intentionally and systematically rendering dishonest and grossly deficient accounting statements," amounting to a $10 Million dollar shortfall.

A spokeswoman for EMI refused to talk to MSNBC about the pending litigation but was quoted as saying, "Artists from time to time request audits of their royalty accounts. Sometimes there are differences of opinion, which is understandable given the complex nature of recording contracts."

If ten million bucks is a difference of opinion, I'd really hate to see a full blown argument.
