Oh man, how did we miss something this delicious? Our sister Joystiq's companion site Xbox 360 Fanboy found this little gem on a game development blog:
"I'm not sure how much the marketing people at Microsoft are aware of this, but "Zune" - their new portable player, has a very "naughty" meaning in Hebrew. How Naughty? Let's just say that if I were to use it in a sentence it could look like this: Would you like to get "Z-une"d and have a cigarette afterwards?"
I'm guessing they're aware of it now, as it made a C|Net editor's blog. If you think about it, from the perspective of a Microsoft PlaysForSure device licensee, the name is pretty apt, no?

1. Surely, product names are bieng reserched and studied. Maybe they settled for the name " zune" cause it is kinda interesting and nice sounding regardless of its meaning.
