Why is Apple obsessed with Daftpunk's Technologic?

Engadget editor Ryan Block posted an interesting aside on his personal blog the other day;

"So tonight the lady and I were arguing about Daft Punk's Technologic. I was saying how ironic it was that Apple is obsessed with the track and plays it at their events. She says, "it could be about anything" in terms of tech, but I'm totally convinced it's a song about fair use. Look at it: it's an electronic song about all the things you can do to and with fair, free, open files. Even if you want to argue the hardware angle, it's still in advocacy of a free, open hardware model vs. "DRMed hardware" (i.e. trusted computing). Maybe I just think about this crap too much."

Given the flack Apple takes over DRM wouldn't it be deliciously ironic if, somewhere deep within the Cupertino machine, the lyrics of this commercial theme song meant to an Apple exec the same thing they mean to Ryan?

Lyrics after the jump.

"Technologic" - Daft Punk

Buy it, use it, break it, fix it,
Trash it, change it, mail- upgrade it,
Charge it, point it, zoom it, press it,
Snap it, work it, quick- erase it,
Write it, cut it, paste it, save it,
Load it, check it, quick- rewrite it,
Plug it, play it, burn it, rip it,
Drag it, drop it, zip- unzip it,
Lock it, fill it, curl it, find it,
View it, coat it, jam- unlock it,
Surf it, scroll it, pose it, click it,
Cross it, crack it, twitch- update it,
Name it, rate it, tune it, print it,
Scan it, send it, fax- rename it,
Touch it, bring it, pay it, watch it,
Turn it, leave it, start- format it.
