Shalgo makes (among other things) iPod "jackets" from colored duct tape. Cool Hunting writes, "The cases themselves are everything you'd expect from such a fun-loving company: bright colors, eye-catching, target-like designs, clear plastic windows to protect screens, the right holes for cords, and a touch wheel that works even through the case."
The end result is a seriously cool looking iPod case, that sets you apart from the other drones with white earbuds on your morning commute. The leftovers are, well, a lot of little pieces of duct tape.
Shalgo applies the same design sense to other projects, like this Shalgomobile, a 1972 Volkswagen Squareback covered with 5,000 pieces of scrap duct tape, salvaged from their iPod jacket production. The Squareback (always one of my favorite cars) is for sale ($9240!), and features a built in dock for a 5th gen 30GB iPod Video.
