Apple DRM Protest Photos From Cambridge Store

Another view of the DefectiveByDesign multi-city protest. This photo slideshow gives you a ticket to the very posh event at the Galleria in Cambridge, MA.

These photos look more like a college prank than a protest. The demonstrators seem to be largely ignored by the store customers, and even the employees don't look very interested.

The costumes are pretty snazzy, and the message is certainly worth listening to but, doesn't this laissez fare attitude towards the demonstration just underscore the entire problem with the DRM issue as a whole?

No one cares, except for those who do, and those who do care have a really hard time explaining to anyone why they should care.

People seem to be far more interested in shoddy iPod quality than restrictive DRM. I'm not sure these nationwide protests managed to raise awareness in anyone who wasn't already aware. They did manage to set the blogosphere ablaze for a few hours, but overall the impact of Saturday's events is slight.
