CBS Votes iTunes Off The Island
CBS has become the first major network to go their own way by announcing that
they plan to offer downloadable Survivor episodes on their own website, as opposed to the iTunes store. They are
still hedging their bets however by not ruling out a future deal with Apple, but for now they will offer episodes that
are good for 24 hours after purchase for $1.99. Other pricing schemes are in the works, and they are doing it
simultaneously with the Google video service, so it should be pretty easy for them to figure out which service has the
most traction (I'm going to take a wild guess here and say that the CBS site is going to do a lot more business then
the Google one, but I think it's a much closer call with CBS vs. iTunes...)

(Page 1)2. Ah, hello, it's our self designated inaccurate fact checker (Still think we are pro-Napster?) I thought I might point out a couple things for you.
A) Your link doesn't support your contentions. CBS is "in talks" with Apple regarding "other distribution deals", which if you read my post, does not conflict with what I said: "They are still hedging their bets however by not ruling out a future deal with Apple". Despite what you say, nowhere does the Marketwatch article indicate that Google is "out".
B) Within the last 6 hours several reputable news services have continued to report that Survivor will not be available on iTunes. These include: Cnet, MacNN, the LA Times, and uh, Marketwatch.
You are going to have to work on those reading comprehension skills if you want to be an ace cub reporter like me. ;)
