iTMs is irrelevant to me personally as a music access service, but as an environment for acquiring podcasts and (now) videos, iTunes definitely has got me caffeinated. So it was with happy anticipation that I unpacked iTunes 6, only to find nothing but black screens in the Videos portion. I can see the Lost episodes, because Lost is linked to the main iTMS page. But when I click Videos in the sidebar, it's all black, all the time. I've rebooted, reinstalled, and refreshed Windows (XP). Anyone else having trouble?
iTunes Video and the Black Screen of Death

(Page 1)2. Keep trying sights been done a few times and proper links to the content took a while to be posted. Also an update to Quicktime 7.0.3 is required (they were awful quiet about that on).

3. When you say "sidebar," are you referring to the "Source" window in iTunes, or the left-hand navigation section inside the iTunes Music Store? Clicking "Videos" in the Source list only lists videos that are currently in your library -- not videos available in the iTunes Music Store, but videos stored locally on your machine. It's a little confusing because you can't drag files onto that window to add them to the library -- you have to click "Library," drag them to that screen, then click "Videos" and they'll be in the list.
However, at least on my machine (12" PowerBook running 10.3 and iTunes 6), when I look at the iTunes Music Store I see several new categories under "Inside the Music Store" in the left navigation section: Movie Trailers, Music Videos, Pixar, and TV Shows. They all work just fine (though I haven't actually bought anything yet).

4. Gee what a surprise. Yet another post 4.x release that's borked and buggy.
Feel free to post on the apple forums. Don't be surprised when your post gets deleted though. There is a lot of that going on since the 5.x series came out.
Oh btw, its official smart playlists are GONE FOR GOOD from 4G. So if you were holding off on going to 4.9(avoid 5.x) feel free to update, there is no firmware coming to fix the smart playlist issue. Sigh.

6. I would check and make sure your QuickTime is updated. I can see everything fine. I got my iTunes from Apple's Software Update and it updated my QuickTime at the same time. Will require a restart.

10. I have the same problem, he means in the little navigation bar on the left, when you click videos you can get either your existing videos or the 'video store', you choose by clicking on the blocks or lines on the top right, small icons. I have the same problem and i've had 7.03 for a long time...the 'video store' is black, google isn't too sure about it either. Post up on here if you know please.
11. I get the same thing on both my XP PC and Mac Mini. Got Quicktime 7.03, so not that ...

12. Hey, just read your post and just wanted to chime in that I am having the black screen in iTunes bug too. Click on videos and the entire main window is a black blank screen. Click on list view and I just see empty files.
I am using the latest version and no luck. Latest nvidia drivers + winxp on my system and still have a problem.
