The threat has been looming ever since Baidu became the darling of American investors. The Chinese company even promised to remove its unauthorized MP3 links. Baidu wasn't just linking to download sites via its MP3 search result pages; it was linking to actualy one-click-download files. After its promise to remove those links, I never saw any difference or reduction of content in my test searches. Appasrently the remedial efforts weren't enough, because the four major music labels and their Chinese counterparts are suing Baidu in a Beijing court. It's another item in the extended wlecome basket being delivered by Western culture.

(Page 1)3. I started noticing baidu when they started hot linking my sample mp3 files that i put on my site for the review article i write. what happened is that everyone just hot link the file directly and eventually cause my bandwidth to suffer.
and i had to block all of baidu's IP to avoid that. (the one where u specified in a file that u dont want the crawler to scan ur site doesnt work for baidu either)
Baidu's soft engineers are either dumb or just really mean
