Major labels are taking their litigation act on tour, this time to South Korea, where 1,985 individuals will be served papers for unauthorized file-sharing. The RIAA vowed to "root out such illegal practices." That's an interesting choice of words, considering these lawsuits don't approach the root of file-sharing in the slightest. To the contrary, they attack the outermost leaves of the file-sharing tree: relatively unempowered individuals, many of whom acted with little or no intent to infringe.
