Samsung CEO Chang Gyu Hwang predicts the ultimate demise of hard drives as flash chips get more dense and capacious. Growth doubles every 12 months, Hwang notes, meaning that 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB cards will reside in our most powerful computing devices within a few years. MP3 player models now reliant on hard drives could switch to flash cards sooner. Apple's replascement of the Mini with the Nano anticipates the trend.
