Sharing simply cannot be stopped; inventing new ways to share must be too much fun. Graduate students and graduated stuents at Carnegie Mellon University have teamed up to develop car-to-car (steer-to-steer?) streaming. The nascent technology (nowhere near any sort of release) would allow the user to stream a playlist to a radius of, say, 30 miles. Collaborative filtering is even being theorized, whereby you get the best music from all the roadcasts in which your car is maneuvering. It is increasingly a world of liquid media; in time we will all be drinking from the same unlimited pool. The industrial forces attempting to slow down this evolution can make things less convenient temporarily, and certainly make things more expensive, but there is no stoppin human nature in the long run.
