KYOUR Starts Terrestrial Podcasting

The great experiment in podcast broadcasting has begun: KYOUR has started its new format of all-podcast programming. This is quite interesting. Not only is the on-air programming made up entriely of submitted and selected podcast, but the station's Web site is maintaining an podcast archive. The site provides a mechanism by which visitors can comment on blogs. Naturally, the radio stream is available as a Webcast. All of this is significant in a couple of ways. First, a reversal of stunning quickness has taken place: terrestrial radio is a promotional arm of an Internet phenomenon. Second, the deep archive almost provides an alternative to iPodder as a podcast aggregator. I say "almost" because you cannot (yet?) stream podcasts from the archive. Boy, if you could, KYOUR would have a portal destination on its hands.
