With the announcement that Snocap came to terms with EMI, having already signed with Sony BMG and Universal, three of the four major labels have made licensing deals with the audio fingerprinting company run by Shawn Fanning. Details about Snocap are still scarce, and it's unclear what the service will look like when it finally rolls something out. On the B2B side, Snocap provides audio identification services to other nascent P2P companies, such as Wayne Rosso's Mashboxx, due to launch in beta this month.
