I love this convergence of technology and ill-mannered concert behavior. (Thanks to Ringtonia.) In a concert in Copenhagen, an audience member failed to turn off his cell phone, whose blaring ringtone disrupted a performance of Ravel. The outraged and courageous conductor (whose name remains unpublicized) stopped the concert cold, waited for the ringing to stop (I can imagine the frantic fumblings of the mortified offender), the started the entire concert over! I don't know how many in the audience regarded the repeated Ravel a punishment, and how many a bonus, but everyone got to bed late that night.
