Microsoft has created a contingency version of Windows that does not include Windows Media Player, in case the company cannot forestall European antitrust action seeking to break apart the operating system. RealNetworks is undoubtedly hoping the stripped version of Windows will be forced into action. Consumers are undoubtedly indifferent.
