4. "Pounds the iPod into the dust". Not quite. Take a good look at the Touch. It is BIG and FAT! And, no doubt heavy as a rock, like all the Zens. Notice that Creative conveniently omits size and weight in it's so-called "specs." I don't think Steve Jobs is shaking in his boots. So you'll know where I'm coming from, I sold my iPod because of the pathetic battery life. I'm only hoping that Apple takes a hint from Creative Labs, iRiver and others and replaces their ill-considered 3g battery with something that actually holds a charge.

6. Yeah this thing is really big and fat. For christ's sake take a look at the specs for yourself. This thing is 3/10 of an inch thicker and 2/100 on an inch wider! Are you retarded?!?!?! That is an obscenly small size difference. And who in their right mind would pay $130 more for the same thing??? Only people who are fanatical about having all things mac thats who. There are so many other choices than iTunes (napster and sony's new service, I forgot the name) that there is no reason anyone should be shouting about how wonderful their iPod is and how it is so much better than the new Zen. All I have to say is that people who buy the Zen can start out having 130 more songs than people with an iPod.

7. it seems people have forgotten what "big" really is. a CD player is big. the i-pod is merely a symbol of conformity and wealth. people tend to love the crap they own and hate what they don't or (can't) have.

8. So you guys say you don't want the Zen Touch because it's bigger?
The 20 GB Touch holds 10,000 WMA's or 5,000 MP3's, it has 3 times the battery life as the Ipod and the sound of creative's products are a lot better then the Ipod's sound. So your saying you would spend 100+ more dollars just because you want a smaller and more sleak Mp3 Player. I'd much rather have the Zen Touch, it blows the Ipod away in every aspect except for the size.

11. I'm getting the Zen touch with a three year warranty and the optional wired remote for a reasonable total of around $270 w/shipping. I have not used a Zen yet and I am a little concerned that I wont like the touch pad or that navigating and setting up playlists will be difficult. But I think its worth the risk. Besides, if i'm not pleased I'll just sell it on ebay and get the ipod.
P.S. How do you convert mp3's to WMA to savespace...I've got a lot of music and I need the space.
